Terms and Conditions

Unless otherwise especially agreed by us in writing, the terms and conditions stated below apply to all transactions.

The prices are shown are inclusive of VAT at the current rate. Prices will be adjusted accordingly should this rate change.

Prices are subject to alteration without prior notice, however, all prices are confirmed when orders are acknowledged by The Vintage Floor Tile Company. It is the responsibility of the purchaser to ensure all details on our order acknowledgement are correct.

Variations – Please note all our tiles are restored and whilst we will endeavour to supply matching tiles given the nature of the product there may be slight colour , thickness and size variations. We will offer alternatives should we believe this is a good match.

Delivery – The period quoted for delivery is a guideline only. The Vintage Floor Tile Company does not accept responsibility for delays caused by mis-instruction, manufacturing delays, strikes, traffic conditions or adverse weather. Delay times may be extended during the holiday periods and workshop closures. It is advisable that no installation should be arranged until the goods have been received and checked. The Vintage Floor Tile Company will not be held responsible for any arrangement of installation prior to receipt and acceptance of the goods and any charges therein. Many of the goods we sell and supply are reclaimed or salvaged and as such are individual items. These items can be over 100 years old and will, in some instances, have minor imperfections that are characteristic of their age.

• Packaging is free and non-returnable.

All products must be inspected once removed from the packaging and The Vintage Floor Tile Company notified within 48 hours of delivery of any scratches, blemishes or other damage. Damaged tiles should, therefore, not be laid and The Vintage Floor Tile Company will not accept responsibility for replacement of scratched or damaged tiles once they have been laid. This includes any consequential loss or cost of fitting. If The Vintage Floor Tile Company are not notified within 48 hours of the deliver then it will be deemed that The Vintage Floor Tile Company have fully complied with its obligations and claims will not be considered.
• Failure to comply with any of the above may invalidate any claims.
• We recommend that after you check the product on delivery that it is stored in its packaging to prevent damage. The Vintage Floor Tile Company cannot accept responsibility for items damaged after delivery.

The Vintage Floor Tile Company will ensure that goods are delivered to the courier in good order however we need to be informed 48hours of the expected delivery if it does not appear. If the customer requests the package to be left in a safe place or with a neighbour and something goes wrong,  the customer will be considered to have received the delivery .

Deliveries by HGV are kerbside only and we do not accept any responsibility for damage to property if our driver is invited into the aforementioned property, this is at the customer’s own risk.

Consequential Loss. The Vintage Floor Tile Company accepts no responsibility for any consequential loss or subsequent costs howsoever arising from the use of new or reclaimed materials supplied by The Vintage Floor Tile Company.

Payment Of Goods – Payment must be made in full and be cleared funds prior to delivery. Any goods not fully paid for will remain the property of The Vintage Floor Tile Company until full, cleared payment has been received. We accept most forms of payment except cheques and American Express.

Cancellations –  On placement of the order it is important that you , the customer, satisfy yourself that the condition, quality and function of the goods is suitable for the purpose and use required. The customer will be sent pictures for approval prior to packing.  Once the order is packed any change or cancellation of the order will result in a charge related to the time spent preparing the order. These will be advised at the time of cancellation, if required.

Return Of Goods – Under no circumstances can we accept returned goods after six months of delivery without prior written acknowledgement and is at the discretion of The Vintage Floor Tile Company. All goods must be suitably wrapped for transportation.

After the 14 day cooling down period all goods which are undamaged/deemed fit for purpose are subject to a re-stocking charge of 35% and allowance is at the discretion of The Vintage Floor Tile Company.

Items will only be considered for return if in the same condition as first delivered.

Items will not be considered for return if they have been installed, used or altered in any way, shape or form.

The cost of returning items is for the client’s account.
